تقويم عُمان

تقويم عُمان is an app provided by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in the Sultanate of Oman, designed to assist users with daily religious and calendrical needs. It allows individuals to track both Hijri and Gregorian dates, view accurate prayer times, and receive alerts for them. A key feature is its ability to show the shape of the moon every night, determine the direction of the Qiblah, and locate nearby mosques specifically within the Sultanate of Oman, making it a tailored tool for residents and visitors alike.

Date and Prayer Time Management

The app serves as a comprehensive calendar, enabling users to keep track of both Hijri and Gregorian dates simultaneously. This dual calendar view is complemented by precise prayer times, for which the app also offers an alerting feature to help users observe their daily prayers. This integrated approach ensures that religious observances are easily managed throughout the day.

Religious and Locational Utilities

Beyond calendrical functions, تقويم عُمان provides several practical tools. Users can ascertain the direction of the Qiblah, a crucial utility for prayer. Additionally, it features a unique capability to display the shape of the moon each night. For those within the Sultanate of Oman, the app can identify and list nearby mosques, facilitating access to places of worship. It also offers access to accompanying religious rulings, providing guidance directly within the app.

Ministry Services and Alerts

The app includes a dedicated section detailing services provided by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs. This special page ensures users can easily find information relevant to the Ministry’s offerings. Furthermore, an automatic alerts feature is integrated into the app, designed to notify users about various important events or information. The Hijri calendar within تقويم عُمان has been updated to reflect the year 1448 AH.
